1: What's New in Crystal Reports 9

This latest version of Crystal Reports incorporates a significant
number of enhancements and new features -- each of which serves to
augment the capabilities of Crystal Reports in one or more of the
following areas:

* Web reporting
* Report Designer features
* Developer features

2: Installation and System Requirements
=======================================

The ReleaseNotes.doc file, located in the root directory of the
product CD, includes a comprehensive listing of the known issues and
other important notes that users should be aware of before installing
Crystal Reports 9. It is recommended that users read this document
in its entirety before proceeding with their Crystal Reports
installation.

Note: The following system requirements must be met when installing
Crystal Reports 9:

Local installation (from CD) requirements:
* Microsoft Windows 98 (Second Edition), NT 4.0, 2000, Me, XP
* Minimum RAM: 32 MB (64 MB for Windows NT)
* Recommended RAM: 64 MB
* Minimum hard drive space required (all editions): 60 MB
* Maximum hard drive space required: up to 155 MB 

We also recommend having an additional 100 MB of free disk space on your
C: drive for use by Windows during the installation. If your system does
not meet these requirements, the program may not run correctly.

Network installation requirements:
* Microsoft Windows 98 (Second Edition), NT 4.0, 2000, Me, XP
* Minimum RAM: 32 MB (64 MB for Windows NT)
* Recommended RAM: 64 MB
* Typical hard drive space required on a network server: 217 MB
* Typical hard drive space required on a workstation: 105 MB.

We also recommend having an additional 100 MB of free disk space on your
C: drive for use by Windows during the installation. If your system does
not meet these requirements, the program may not run correctly.

The Crystal Reports Online Help (CRW.chm) is available by pressing F1
in the product. See the topic called Additional Help for information
about other help files available in Crystal Reports.
